Divided in Time

We bought this piece of curved glass with the image of the Ring of Brodgar standing stones to sit on the window ledge beside an older piece of the Cockenzie Power Station cooling towers; thousands of years of history separating them, but coming together in my home in the here and now.

I am running out of enthusiasm for watching sport on the television at the moment. My favourites are being beaten into submission and no amount of cheering and fingers crossing is doing any good. Andy Murray and Jo Konta out of Wimbledon and Chris Froome deprived of his yellow jersey at least for the time being. It's all going to hell in a hand cart for the Brits.
It is so easy being a critical armchair specialist, isn't it?
