Here's Looking at You

Up before sunrise, and then walked up to the land on my own (Mike went earlier in car) - it was all so beautiful, and felt privileged to live here - the sun coming up golden, the castle, seed heads glowing in the low light, stunning views of the land and the lake - problem is, how to choose a blip?

My criteria was something I might not see again - got quite a start when this nursing mother suddenly jumped up on the wall bordering our lane and proceeded to howl at me - was she hungry, or just being friendly - her tail was swinging round in circles the whole time we were talking.

Less happy was the news from Francisca that a lad shot himself in Estrela last night. Suicide, unfortunately, is fairly common here.
