This morning we continued working on yesterday's paintings in the atelier then painted in the field in the afternoon. We drove to the artist's other property which has a very old cottage and barn. The surrounding houses are also very old and picturesque.
This giant thistle is growing in the back yard of the artist's property. I was quite impressed with this iPhone close up. The extra shows more of the plant.
A storm was brewing and the wind was playing havoc with my easel and canvas. The others had wisely chosen a more
sheltered spot to paint but i persevered where i was. At least it didn't rain.
