A WEIGHT ON MY SHOULDER

Another couple of hours of nature that made me smile this afternoon. Once again I seemed to be the perch of choice for several Red Admirals - is it my imagination or is this a good year for them? I don't remember seeing nearly so many last year. Then (extras) a barn owl flew over my head as I was walking across the reserve, and was mobbed by some very cross terns, and then there was a fat and healthy looking hedgehog under the bird feeders in broad daylight.
