Croquet uphill

We have the smallest most hilly croquet lawn. D had a paddy when C beat him and went inside in a huff because he's "so rubbish". I played C when also best me despite me hitting his ball off course as much as I could. I then had a chat with D about the fact that it was the first time we'd ever played it (I had to google the rules).
Later they had football practice and I let A take them so I could do an online supermarket shop without small boys interrupting.
Football practice finished suddenly when the heavens opened, they were very soggy when they got home.
