The striking buildings and grounds of the National Archives Centre at Kew had a visitor when we attended for part of our family research course. The heron seemed very tame, and happy to have his photo taken.
The Archive Centre is an amazing place with banks of computers and libraries and other resources. It was a tiring day, even without the drive to and from London. Worth it as I found a 16th century ancestor who had been eluding me.
