Hole in one
We went for a walk down to Lake Taupo this morning, and came across this man (and girl) having a go at hitting the golf ball onto the pontoon and getting a hole in one, winning $10,000 for doing so. Surprisingly enough, a sign on the fence said that on average this gets achieved once every two weeks. Amazing facts. I wonder how they get all the thousands of golf balls out of the lake?
This afternoon we went to 'Lava Glass', watched some glassblowing, and wondered through a sculpture garden. I've put on some photo's in my extras. The glassblowers are truely talented artists.......but I have to say their beautiful works of art are so expensive!
Tonight we decided to go out for tea - didn't book thinking it wouldn't be busy on a Monday night. My thinking was wrong. The restaurants were booked out, so ended up with KFC. Lesson learnt - it is school holidays and the place is over run with holiday makers. Next time we will book a table!
