The Boy's Turn

I've been giving a lot of time to My daughter and Jessica recently, so today, while they went bowling with friends and My wife went out with her friends, I took Arthur to the Kawasaki Museum and the Kobe Matsuri. What a fantastic time we had. There was a Joy Sound Karaoke Battle competition there. My son and I love karaoke and Arthur has long dreamed of appearing in the Karaoke Battle TV show. Well, what do you know - he won! He beat nine other competitors to win Y10,000!

In the afternoon, we went back to the Joy Sound booth and they asked him to compete again on the main Red Bull stage. However, when we got there, he was told he could not compete having won in the morning. Still, we stayed to watch the entire competition and were delighted that his score this morning was higher than the winning score this afternoon, even though the winner is a professional anime singer!

As a way of making up of blocking Arthur from the afternoon competition, they allowed us to sing early on in the 6-7 pm session. So, we ended up enjoying singing three songs each on a stage in front of many, many people which was great fun, and my son came home Y10,000 better off.

Bonus!

The extras are me singing one of my three songs (Starman and China Girl by David Bowie and Higher Love by Depeche Mode) plus Arthur and I with the runner up from the morning competition and Arthur with the winner of the afternoon competition.
