David's view over Florence

At the Piazzale Michelangelo this copy of his statue is placed and from here we had that gorgeous panorama over the city of Florence that you all have seen sometime in some prospectus.

I started the day here with my friend and companion remembering this site and sight so well from years ago. He enjoyed and marvelled the view; we stayed here over an hour before descending into town.

Florence is flooded with tourists from all over the world, every day of the year it is and in Summer time in extra amounts... packed lines of people cuing to get into the Uffizi Museum and the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore; we didn't fancy loosing time in cues and walked on into the city where every step leads you to another moment of awe and impression that the whole city is a museum.

We also visited the Santa Croce church what is considered as a Pantheion of Italian geniuses since Galileo Galileï, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Niccolo Macchiaveli, Gioachino Rossini a.o. And we wandered there for an hour and a half in awe.... as we did thro' all of Florence till sundown.
