Mountains for me

Just behind the city of Chania hills run up to the mountains of the Levka Ori (White Mountains) and the area of this little plateau at some 600 mtrs altitude is gorgeous. The panoramas and those mountainous roads with lots of bends and slopes up and down are a treat to me ~ I loved driving there! We made a roundtrip of some 50 kms into a world to my heart. It's very green here this time of the year, I actually don't remember Crete in MidSummer as green as it's now; a happy discovery and hopefully one that shows that ecology pays off!
