Padula

The weather settled and we wandered into the National Park. First port of call was to the cave system in Pertosa. Unfortunately cameras were not allowed. Entry to the system was by boat into a cavern that makes Gaping Gill look small!
Then onto Certosa di San Lorenzo, one of Europe largest monasteries with a huge courtyard and amazing frescos in the chapels. It fell into disrepair and was a childrens holiday home and later a concentration camp! Fortunately it has now been saved for the public to admire.
