Big Butterfly Count

Just a reminder that you can do the Big Butterfly Count on any warm and preferably sunny day between now and 6th August. It's just like the Big Garden Birdwatch, spend 15 mins spotting the maximum number of each butterfly and moth species you can see, record and submit your findings online. Choose a suitable place, it doesn't have to be your garden, G and I took two folding chairs out last year and sat in a meadow. Their website http://www.bigbutterflycount.org/  has a downloadable identification chart too. It's the World's biggest survey of butterflies and helps identify how they're doing and the health of the environment. Go on, have a go!
