The bridge looks much nicer from the other side but this direction highlights the rebuilds of the wall above deck level, which is presumably a different colour from the nice purple rest due to having been taken out by some sort of motor vehicle. Our school bus once clipped one of the warning signs on the north approach and slowed down very very quickly, perhaps preventing it taking out the replacement bricks.
