Mr Greenfinch

The self nominated Boss of the bird feeder. He spends a lot of time and energy trying to prevent the other birds feeding there. When the number of sparrows gets too great, he gives in with bad grace and concentrates on defending the small patch immediately in front of him. 

Long after all the other little birds have gone elsewhere, Mr Greenfinch can be seen picking over the husks in case a seed has been overlooked. It is now the end of the day and if I turn my head to the left I can still see a lone little head bobbing around in the feeding tray.
