After Wedding Gift

Since my Detroit Tigers are having a day game...I decided to make this a lazy day. I have my TV clicker, a sandwich, and a Diet Squirt. Nice.

But...I haven't been totally confined to my Lazy Boy.

Jason and Lauren were married last Saturday night. They are an outdoorsy couple...so their best man and his dad made these wood circles for the centerpieces. They are nice hunks of wood. 12 inches across. I thought for sure they would have deer antlers on the tables...but...no horns.

I begged my son Jeff to nab me a few of these. He brought me 3. I dedicate the first one to the new couple. The names and the wedding cake are all wood burned in. With a cheap wood burner...it is both tedious, and a little nerve racking. You just don't want to slip.

The painting of the cake is even more tedious. Those leaves are tiny. Tough to wood burn...tough to paint.

Going to have to break out of my laziness soon. Naturelover and her husband are picking me up at 6 p.m. First night of Walleyball (volleyball in a racquetball court.) My oldest daughter is also playing. Fun times.

P.S. This is where the couple went on their honeymoon.CLICK HERE. Hope they had a great time.
