Charity Evacuee
Had great nights sleep and has set alarm for 6am to get up and work straight away. Don't often work from home, but the plus side is I walk from bedroom into office, as kettle boils, and online at work by 6.15am!
Was pitch dark as I worked and freezing later on as I wandered downstairs for breakfast. Must admit I put rads on for 30 mins or so to take the chill off.
Worked til noon and then off to pick up Dora, who is chairperson of the Disabled Peoples Advocacy, Nottingham to go to a charity event in Birmingham at the council house, hosted by lloyds bank.
Hundreds of small charities there, who have benefited from grants given by lloyds. The council house is an impressive building in Birmingham, and we were given a great reception, with afternoon tea to follow the speeches. However, the fire alarm stopped everything!!
We made our way to the exit, and v surprised to see some folks grabbing handfuls of sandwiches and cakes on the way out!! Shameful!!
Journey home and back for tea at mums woth pete and kirsty, and then an hours work
Mum, Li and matt off to the iom to see bro tomorrow, wished I was going with them...am sending a little parcel to prince!!
