Gatekeeper

I believe that this is a female Gatekeeper butterfly - but please correct me if I'm wrong. There were two white dots on the black wing-spots.
I cropped it close-in as I rather liked her furry head and abdomen - it reminds me of a little bear. 
We enjoyed a lovely walk of about 2 1/2 hours in Dorsington Wood and thereabouts this afternoon, complete with a pic-nic, and just squeezed it in between two downpours so we managed to stay dry.
I also remembered to take my cameras with me today (unlike yesterday!). This pretty lady stopped still long enough for me to get a couple of shots of her. 
Off to a 50th birthday party this evening, so got to go and scrub-up.
