Crazy and cool
So, my standard Saturday routine was maintained - yoga, weigh in etc.
Came home and had a bit of a read and a cup of tea, before heading back out to have a consultation with my new hairdresser. The plan for batsh*t crazy hair is in place for Monday - close crop, bleach platinum and then the blues, pinks and purples are going on. My summer act of rebellion will then be complete.
Back home and cooked an early tea, then drove up to Halifax to photograph a skate competition organised by Lewis (James' brother from another mother, and by association, our adopted son!)
It took half an hour to get a feel for the lighting and to get comfortable with moving around and not getting in the way. That half hour was also useful as it enabled me to scope out the competitors who would be most likely to give me some interesting shots. There are a few additional ones on the extras.
I saw some spectacular tumbles and remained utterly disbelieving that no-one required the services of an ambulance.
Back home over the moors, with a beautiful sunset once I got through the clouds and rain over the tops.
Tomorrow I am going to visit a Kieran, with a couple of my friends from work. It's been such a long time - I hope he is ready for us!
