Rest Stop

We were driving to the beach behind a car with a faulty "something" and it kept sending up smoke and a unpleasant smell.....so we pulled over to rest.....and put some distance between us and that car. Of course I took out my camera to see if there was something nice to photograph; immediately I saw these purple wild flowers and the view that went on forever. I looked past the flowers down a steep cliff and toward the mountains divided by deep ravines........the photo didn't capture the blue sky and white clouds.......for some reason it wouldn't focus on the flowers and the sky, it was one or the other. Either I never learned how to set up for that scenario or I have forgotten.....oh well, I loved the flowers more than the sky, so this is the photo I chose to share today.  

I have decided that I am not going to do my typical things at our beach house; I am going to enjoy it as if I were a guest on vacation......so far so good. I have been sitting outside,reading a book and enjoying the coolness while sipping a nice ice water. Very pleasant.
