Brixham, Devon

Today was the last day of our Devon visit - me and my two friends, R&H. Thankfully none of us had any reason to get back before bedtime so we had the whole day to enjoy!

We started off with a long relaxed breakfast in the garden overlooking the bay. It was cloudy at times but warm. In the early afternoon we cleaned up the house and packed up and then went into the town itself for a mooch around. We looked in a few shops and we MIGHT have bought fudge!

Brixham is the number 1 fish market in the U.K. and so we had to have some real Fish and Chips! We had our late lunch at a place called Rockfish. It's a big restaurant owned by a celebrity chef but they also have a little 'takeaway' downstairs with a few high tables and benches. That's where we ate, and sat in, enjoying our Fish and Chips and mushy peas. Delicious! We enjoyed a quick walk along the harbour before heading back to the house to pick up our stuff and then drive home. Thankfully we left late enough that we didn't get caught up in any typical Sunday afternoon traffic. We had a beautiful sunset on the drive home and made it back in one shot, just in time for bed!

It's been a wonderful weekend and a great start to my long vacation. I definitely want to head back there sometime soon!
