Wonthaggi Suburb IV

Its very sad. This is the last true Milk Bar remaining in Wonthaggi. The advent of supermarkets spelled the death nell for this kind of small business. Once upon a time there were ubiquitous throughout the suburbs. I can remember when I first arrived in Australia in 1967 and was living in Manly with a bunch of fellow Welsh surfers, and the Milk Bar down the road apiece was pretty much where we bought everything for our day to day living. And formed a lovely and close relationship with the owners.
Like most stuff I guess progress has its pros and cons. C'est la vie.
