Growing sweetcorn.

This is the first time we have grown sweetcorn in pots. They normally go in the veg patch and are much shorter.

They are around five feet tall and being wind pollinated, the pollen is released before female cobs are ready for fertilisation. You can see the fan arrangement that releases the pollen. Looking forward to some yummy corn.
