Bottoms up!

A great deal of today has been spent pushing my way through nettles, brambles and hawthorn along the side of Stratford Race Course.  It was all much more overgrown than last year and of course it was absolutely necessary to get as close to the track as possible.  Consequently, I now have various tingling nettle stings!

Of course, to get a good shot there, was extremely difficult.  Especially when you focus on the wrong part of the track - thought I would tell you that before anyone else does!  And the speed! And the light!  I liked the energy in this shot although it leaves a great deal to be desired.

The same cannot be said for our picnic which turned into a veritable feast!  We forgot the wine though...
