Mullaghmore, the Burren (Co. Clare)

We drove to The Burren National Park this morning, got our walking boots on and set off to climb this huge mountain (ok, medium sized hill), Mullaghmore.  It was a beautiful walk, in such a bizarre landscape - all limestone pavement, and Mullaghmore itself looked like it had been poured into place at an odd angle.  It was tricky to pick a photo for today - I was torn between the limestone pavement ones and ones like this which showed the hill itself.  Tim picked this one for me :)

After our walk, we ate lunch in the car, then carried on to Clifden in Connemara - stunning scenery on the way.  Checked into our hotel there, and went out for another tasty dinner at Off the Square - Tim sampled the Irish stew, while I had fish goujons and chips - and we both drank Murphy's.  When in Ireland....

The light was beautiful after dinner, so we had a little wander down to the river, then retired to our room for the night.
