Dinner is served!

A busy day at home after a very full stitching workshop weekend , working on wool on wool appliqué  of a tux in our New Zealand bush, under talented and generous tutor Ngaire Brooks from Whangaparaoa.
Our builder called at midday to discuss deck extensions for our new spa pool and M, our daughter-in-law also, to work her co-ordinating magic in the landscaping department to enhance the finished alterations. Then the builder joined us for salad and bacon and egg pie, declaring the pie would be very acceptable for lunch throughout the project : ))
And so to tonight's dinner...Spicy chicken cakes, on baby spinach leaves dressed with avocado salsa and basil oil and accompanied by broccoli and sautéed mushrooms and mini sweet tomatoes. The broccoli, coriander and basil from our vegetable garden.
It was delicious!
