Take 2

...... for the walk along the beach to Bamburgh Castle, into the village for a snack and home for lunch. Thwarted yesterday because of the rain, today we got there! Hooray!

The moody cloudy skies of the morning cleared to blue skies, and although not as warm as the beginning of the week, warm enough for the boys to want to return to the beach at Newton for jumping the waves at the beach. There wasn't so many in the sea that afternoon but these hardy boys not put off by a blustery wind, the lure of higher waves pulling them in.

We high jacked an outdoor table at the nearby golf course to get rid of the majority of the sand and head to Barter Books in Alnwick where we all got something.

Stopped in Embelton for our tea and the boys played at the very good park alongside the hotel.

Last night but instead of packing we had a few games of Uno! Always a winner.
