Memento

When I retired over 20 years ago this was given to me by a member of staff who was part of Manchester's Chinese community.

It has hung on a wall ever since as it has never been hot enough in Arnside to justify using it.

In any case as it is about six feet in diameter it would be hard to handle. To use it properly I think I would have to lay on a sofa with a bunch of grapes and a glass of wine whilst a minion gently waved it back and forth. I am sure you can envisage the scene.
But nobody has ever offered.
