Yellow sands under the Southern Cross

Perhaps you will have to take my word that the sands are yellow.  We have had such clear skies over the last week and with the new moon it's been perfect for star shots.  At Redhead here there is too much light pollution.  I was seriously thinking of how I could turn off the power to the surf club which is responsible for the light on the shark tower and would have made a lot of difference.   Maybe something to think about if there is a power outage in the area.  With my luck it would be full moon!
