Punctures and picnics

WE had a bit of a wheel changing day, with collapsing rime and wrong sized spares and road stops and pit stops and wheeling and general dealing thrown in to the mix

An hour on the road, waiting for a star to fall, brings one into contact with all varieties of life passing by, like the Vice President's noise brigade of 12 vehicles taking both sides of the road travelling at 100 mph as if anyone had any interest, followed by brinks transferring money with the same bells and sirens and horns blowing as if they needed a 10 vehicle parade.

Then with no fuss at all came these three beauties from Standard 1, 2 and 3 of the local school on a bicycle made for 4.

They were bright as buttons and real dotes. They stopped to talk and charmed us.
There is a quotation about empty vessels somewhere

We had a most interesting and exciting day, taking 8 hours to do the 400km!!
