Rainy day sunshine

As predicted this morning was wet an dull but no matter, after Grace had been for her morning swim we started quilting the patchwork quilt she has been making since they went travelling 6 years ago!

It was one of my reasons for coming down as, being kingsize, it takes some handling so I was drafted in to help.

It has brightened up since morning but it is much fresher. We made the mistake of going out to the shop for some bits for lunch. It was warm but with some dampness in the sir. When we came out it was pouring again and we got soaked on the short walk back.

Hope it stays fine this evening as I am being taken out for a belated birthday meal to a nearby Sardinian/Italian restaurant.

The picture in the back ground may be familiar to some of you who.follow my journal. It is one John took a few years ago of Achnahaird Beach, Coigach where they will be going in a couple of weeks.
