If Mum 'Ain't Happy....

....Ain't Nobody Happy - So says the sign in our house.
So this morning we woke up in Harrogate, N Yorkshire, for Joshua's Pre-Joining Day at the Army Foundation College.
For Joshua and I it covered a lot we had seen and heard last November but in more detail.
For Clare it was the opportunity to see for herself where her 'baby' will be going when he flies the nest.
Although the staff and Junior Soldiers gave much the same information there was more detail so it was three intense hours trying to take it all in.
Clare is happy though, the old style of "break them down - build them up" has gone, it's about pushing them to their limits, then further, but always looking after them.
After we were 'released' we made our way to Harrogate where we sampled the delights of world famous Betty's, then it was five hours south to overnight at Amesbury where we stayed in a really disappointing Travelodge.
Dinner was from the carvery at the Toby Inn just up the road at the Solstice Services before falling deeply asleep.
