Painting the Highway

Contractors were working their way eastwards along the main A272 through Newick earlier this afternoon, refreshing the 'roundel' markings on the surface of the highway that remind drivers of the 30mph speed limit through the village.

Here one member of the team uses a tablet to record the work, before (see today's 'Extra') giving the 'all clear' to his colleagues with the 'Stop / Go' boards who were controlling traffic while the work was being undertaken.
