Chaos!

I've been flying for 46 years and have finally missed a flight "properly", that is, with no option but to buy a new flight - expensively!

We talked about getting a taxi from Montreuil to the airport, but left over three hours before the flight, with the public transport journey scheduled to be 75 minutes. But we were caught up in total chaos on line B. Diverted to Mitry, getting on shuttle buses was like being in a third world country. Pushing, shouting: fortunately the police arrived before it turned nastier. Arrived at check-in 10 minutes before the flight left. Too late, obviously. Opodo's EasyJet flight at £442 for the two of us was cheaper than FlyBe's €280 for the only seat tonight and more expensive tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to claim on insurance. Charles de Gaulle is not the best place to spend seven hours, but that's life!
