Let the good times roll!!

The Old School Room, Chew Magna

The Old School Room in Chew Magna, Somerset, was built around 1510. It is a Grade II listed building. It was built as a church house for the neighbouring Church of St Andrew. The upstairs room was the local school from the mid or early 15th century, with the village poorhouse below. The ground floor was divided into cubicles which housed the destitute and occasionally prisoners. It also served as the meeting place of the Court leet.” Wikipedia

(The above should say "16th century" but I've stuck with the direct quote from Wikipedia)

Well, it actually stayed dry today, though the rain has just arrived for the evening. But, as you can see, it’s been a very dull, grey day of flat light, and rather on the cool side. I was in Chew Magna with a friend for coffee and a catch-up at one of our favourite cosy cafes. Now that the schools have broken up for Summer, I get up to catch up with all my friends from my teaching days: four this week and another two booked in next week. As is usually the way, it’s busy, busy, busy then everyone disappears on their hols! So got to push through the tiredness and make the most of the good times!!
