Falling Over

Niagara Falls, Day 2 - There's only so much time a visitor can spend gawking at a billion gallons of water pouring over a waterfall, so today Jools and I head up to Clifton Hill, the tackiest street in Ontario, home of dozens of fun sideshows . . .

You like waxworks? There are four, including one devoted to criminals where you can enjoy the sensation of being electrocuted in an electric chair. Haunted houses? Choose between the House of Frankenstein, Dracula's Haunted Castle and three others. You want to buy trashy souvenirs or eat trashy food? This is the place . . .

Our favourite sight on the street is the sideways Empire State Building with King Kong dangling precariously over the street. It's the home of Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum. Jools and I didn't go in . . . after seeing the building, anything inside has to be a disappointment.
