All in the vat

Lovely day today (big change from yesterday) so headed out to the Burn o' Vat trail walk near Dinnet.

It's only a short walk up to the spectacular 'vat' that has been created by the river swirling boulders around in a bowl. Even more spectacular is the fact you can get inside it via a rectangular opening in the rocks, Albus is peering through in the picture.

Once inside there is a waterfall and basin. The waterfall has a small cave behind it too. A scramble over the rocks leads to a trail along the river before scrambling up the valley side to reach the main path. Back to the car park.
