Eilean Donan Castle
Today was the last leg of our journey to Skye. We set off from Fort William in torrential rain and although it eased we were either in rain or could see it approaching for the whole journey. The A87 is certainly blessed with amazing scenery. As we approached Eilean Donan Castle on Loch Duich a ray of light appeared and I grabbed the title blip from the car park. The place was very touristy and packed with people but our late lunch in the cafe there was excellent.
The first extra blip at Coldbost on Skye looks like summer arrived but it was pouring behind us and the blue sky didn't last long. The final blip is near our destination; a lovely crofters cottage in Waterstein near the lighthouse. Cosy, settled and wine poured we feel at home and ready to sleep after 2 long days.
The wifi is a bit flaky and no phone signal.
