Cliffs of Moher
We had a much later start today as we had to wait for new arrivals to join our tour. One of our group has been quite unwell for a few days and went to the Doctor in Galway this morning. From there she was sent on to hospital for tests. In the end all is reasonably okay, which is a huge relief. Thank goodness for travel insurance too – doctor and hospital visits as a foreigner are seriously expensive!
It meant that we had to travel on without her and her partner this morning, but they were able to catch us up at the end of the day in Ennis. It did leave those of us travelling on seriously worried though, so we didn’t get a lot out of today. However, we travelled through The Burren, stopping to check out the rock formations, and visiting a leprechaun cathedral. I managed to flip a coin over my right shoulder into the cathedral, and therefore make a wish. The wish came true too, so perhaps there is some truth in the old stories!
Our main stop for the day was at the Cliffs of Moher. Wow! Amazing!
However, the wind was amazing too! It was literally blowing people off their feet.
