What a lovely day:-

to be on Show

We are well in to the season for the agricultural shows.

As beekeepers we take an active part in these and on Saturday and Sunday the beekeepers had a stand at the Southern Agtricultural Show near Castletown.  Here are the first visitors of the day getting to grips with bees and the gear.

It got very busy later on and hundreds of people came to see us. We had honey for sale and a good time was had by all.

In a fortnight there will be held the Royal Manx Show which is held at Knockaloe.

In a former life Knockaloe farm became an internment camp during the First World War. It is a very pretty area and to this day I feel that it has retained the atmosphere of those times.
