What a lovely day:-

to Delight in Leeks

It is really quite difficult to tell when all the flowers in the seed head of a leek have been pollinated and the seed set.  I think we are nearly there and will perhaps leave it a little longer before removing the seed head and starting to dry it off.

There must be several thousand seeds in this one seed head and it rather puts things in to perspective when one is charged four or five pounds for a packet of one hundred seeds!
