Journey home

We had a lovely day at Lincoln's Collection today before waving goodbye to Grandma and driving back up to Edinburgh.  I had intended to leave it fairly late in the hope that the kids would fall asleep in the car on the way back.  5pm would give them about an hour of awake time before they'd pass out, before being transferred to their beds at home.  

I was wrong.  The little lady fell asleep at 5:30pm but woke again at 6:30pm.  Her and her brother insisted on staying awake until they saw the Angel of the North in Newcastle, and then the Scotland flags on the border.  By the time we arrived home at 9:30pm, both kids were groggy but still awake.  I hope they sleep well tonight.
