Stonehenge
Our last day in Bath and after breakfast we headed to the Abbey for Sunday morning Eucharist. It was a beautiful service with lots of people attending and quite a few children there too.
The choir sounded great and I was proud of T playing for the service, the voluntary at the end filled the whole building with the sounds of the organ. It took me back to the days when we met and T was organist at Blackburn Cathedral.
Roast lunch at the pub across from the Abbey and then we left to go home. We stopped off at Stonehenge en route. I wasn't sure how interested the children would be but they were fascinated. Probably helped by the Go Jetters Stonehenge episode which we have watched a lot!
We got the shuttle bus up to the stones and walked all around the big stone circle. It was fascinating and amazing to think the stones were put there over 4500 years ago!!
A historical end to a fabulous weekend away.
