Going postal

I've spent most of this lovely sunny day at work which seems most unfair! However, as I very rarely have to work at weekends I can't complain too much... *mutter, mutter, mutter*

Luckily, prior to catching my train I had time to pay a quick second visit to the old Copperas Hill postal sorting office (handily situated slap bang next to Lime Street station) as promised on Tuesday.

Although it's currently hosting art exhibitions it looks almost exactly as I imagine it looked when the final shift of postal workers clocked off two years ago - which is very poignant.

Some of the things the Royal Mail has left behind look like artworks themselves and could easily pass as 'installations' if the viewer didn't know better.

Here's something I particularly liked.
