Ae Fond Farewell

You start to pick up the Burns' lingo after you've been there a few days!

It's goodbye to Ayrshire and hello again to Perhshire, as we're home safely. We took the scenic coastal route home via Largs and Gourock, so managed to see a bit more of the county on our way. Also took one last photo of Ailsa Craig, a huge rock that can be seen from all points on the coast.

Worrying news on our arrival - one of our cats has gone missing! Mika hasn't been seen by anyone since Wednesday afternoon, although Simba was waiting for us in his usual spot in the greenhouse. She tends to be the wandererer and the hunter, so I'm sure she'll be back soon, but my husband has gone out to have a good search for her.

The neighbour who looks after them for us is very concerned, as it happened in her watch. Let's hope the wandering cat turns up again soon!
