Bucky arrives in Oman

After a gruelling ten day journey from the other side of the world, blipfoto's favourite orange rubber duck landed safely in Oman yesterday afternoon. For his first day, I thought I'd show him around the Tourism College and let him meet some of the students.

All my lessons today centred around 'Telephone Skills' and the International Alphabet (A for Alpha, B for Bravo, C for Charlie etc.). Lesson highlights included the mistaken use of 'Inshallah' for I and 'Wankee' for W. Thankfully, they didn't understand why I was laughing.

After class, I explained to my students that a friend from the UK sent me this little rubber duck and that I was to take pictures of him for a website. They're well used to me and my camera now and jump at the chance to feature in my photos, even if it meant today that they had to share the limelight with a little orange rubber duck to do so!
