Wedding Car

The weather probably wasn't as ordered for today, but the splendid wedding car looked fabulous despite the inclement and gusty drizzle. I'm sure the bride felt thoroughly wonderful as she drove into the village this morning. One can only hope the rest of her entourage stayed dry too.

Spent the morning listening to a developer's agent describing how marvellous a dramatically expanded village would be, and how much the potential new facilities would be "welcomed by all". When not listening to his own spiel I gently pointed out that our narrow twisting and potholed country lanes and the definitively 'not fit for purpose' motorway junction might trump his sought after whistles of appreciation...

Quart into a pint pot. If you're going to put few thousand additional vehicle movements into our already congested and deteriorating B- and unlisted road network, you're going to find they either don't fit or don't move. And some vehicles are nice to look at, not sit in traffic in.
