Hot, Tired, and Thirsdee

Today didn't quite reach the predicted high degree; was it because we were covered in smoke from fires in Canada?
Took my mind off the heat for a chunk of the afternoon by helping a friend with a bum knee rearrange things in her basement and upstairs to get ready for company. Ugh-a-bug hot, but the beer and sandwich after helped a lot.
Sat outside, as it cooled, until mosquitoes drove us back inside.
