NEOS

The North East Open Studies is Scotland's largest open studio event and takes place towards the end of September each year. There are over 280 participants this year, the largest number ever and they showcase every kind of art in all sorts of venues dotted around across the north east of Scotland.

My friend Gabi showcases her amazing work (Small Stories) alongside a Aubeebop Jewellery and Morag McGee's ceramics under the banner of the Affa Fine Quines.

This afternoon, after school, we went over to Kemnay, to where these talented ladies were exhibiting so that my lovely husband and I could check out their work and the boys could play with their pal, and daughter to one of the talented artists, Poppy.

After flying numerous paper aeroplanes created out of old NEOS maps around the courtyard of the steading studio, they were treated to a private viewing of just how hot and powerful the raku ceramic burner can be.
