Banded Memoiselle

This is the first time I'd seen a Banded Demoiselle and I thought they were so pretty, particularly when flying. It was on a walk with the U3A bird group and we spotted it at the Bayfield Lake. Quite quiet on the bird front today as you would expect from a windy day in August, but I did get a photo of a Kestrel and a Little Egret flying. And I did enjoy seeing the hares having fun in a distant field complete with hay bales.

Went to see Valerian at the cinema this afternoon - unless you're a massive sci-fi fan I wouldn't bother as the plot, acting and script didn't match the quality of the special effects.
