Cosmo's day

Cosmo is having a quick early afternoon snooze. Luckily she does not know what awaits. In a few minutes I will wake her up and we will go for a walk. She doesn't realise this is not just one of our normal ambles though the woods, but a walk with a purpose. We are heading to the vet.

Even when we got to the vet she is not unduly disturbed as she has not been to vets very often, and never to this one since she moved house. She has developed a sore under her chin. It may have been caused by a bite, but now the wound is about an inch across.

The vet shaved the area and removed the scab, washed the wound and put some ointment on it. Cosmo was very good but it was a bit of a trauma for her. Afterwards all she wanted to do was get home where I gave her a sausage. She accepted this gratefully but could not get settled. She was very upset by the experience, and did not eat her dinner until late in the evening.

Poor wee thing. We all really felt for her.
